Scots pine recuperation ward

These are some of the 1500 or so scots pine we've rescued from imminent death at the backrupt tree nursary. Each one gets supported on a rail made of willow and bamboo. You can almost see and hear their relief.
it's a bit ironic that the broad leaves we rescued ( a couple of thousend) are generally happier and stronger ( I live in Scotland) although they all need help and I expect to be doing work with them for the next year. Satisfying!
