Spanish Fine Food First Night

The challenge is not to try to copy or out do a previous birthday experience... Of course this will get harder and harder every year, but we knew we wanted great food this year. So, after having found out earlier in the year that San Sebastián has one of the highest density of star rated restaurants in the world (?), or at least in Europe, it was a simple choice of where to go.
Having said that, my friend can not plan long weekends in advance, so by the time we knew we could go flight fares had gone up and we had given up on the idea of indulging in 3 starred food.
Luckily fares went down again and we flew to Bilbao to take the bus to San Sebastián to enjoy nice food and ok service (def not star worthy) at Martin Berasategui... even of it was not worth 3 stars, it was very nice and most of all we had fun!
