Ullswater from Gowbarrow Fell
I think this looks pretty good in LARGE
Mixed day's weather - started wet, and we visited Threlkeld quarry and Mining Museum - a glorious array of rusty machinery, peeling paint and textures. By lunchtime the weather had cleared up towards the west, so we visited Aira Force falls over by Ullswater, then walked around Gowbarrow fell, to enjoy one of the most wonderful Lake District views along Ullswater from halfway up the fell. To control the sky, I used a 0.75 hard-edged ND grad and a 0.6 soft-edged grad in tandem (it was VERY bright!)
