Cold morning

This morning we woke up to a bit of frost in the ground and windshields needing to be scraped. The day unfolded to a nice and sunny one. I spent a good portion of the day in the garden, pulling up plants, getting ready to put it to bed for the winter.
The picture is of an old apple tree, it's been here longer than we have. The experts we've asked think it's a Gravenstein. The trunk is mostly hollow, but each year it keeps producing an abundant crop, more than we can deal with. The deer help : )
