Striking Gold

Finally a sunny day! Alas, almost all the trees are bare except for a few hangers-on. The larch trees, of which there aren't many, are especially beautiful next to a green spruce.
For those of you who live in a place that does not have larch trees, or perhaps you know them by a different name, it is a tree with needles like evergreens, but the needles fall in the winter like leaves do on deciduous trees.
