Golfers paradise

I was at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda MD today, not to play golf, but to have a drink with a friend. I was told this elite club opened in 1924 and its famous Blue Course has hosted three U.S. Opens and a PGA Championship.
The view from the founders' pub is stunning, overlooking an expanse of perfectly cut greens, with a sense of serenity and history engraved in all the delicate wood panels.
They wouldn't let me take a picture inside, but the above picture of the entrance is a representative preview of the luxury and elegance of the place.

Maybe I had too high expectations but I found the coffee barely average.
