Seattle skyline from the south
A view of the downtown Seattle skyline from the north end of Beacon Hill. The tall building in the middle of the image is the Columbia Center, which rises to 76 stories, with an observation deck on the 73rd floor, and a private club on the 75th and 76th floors
In the mid left hand side of the image, with the really pointy spire at the top is the Smith Tower, at 42 stories, which at one time was the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. The brass caged elevators are STILL operated by human elevator operators.
At far left, you can barely see another pointy spire, which is the top of the historic King Street RR station, which is still in use to this day, serving the needs of Amtrak passengers between Los Angeles and Vancouver Canada, and passengers traveling between Seattle and Chicago.
The particular view point that this image was taken from is a popular vantage point for night time shots of the city skyline.
