Thawing

After our cold snap this week, today dawned crisp and clear. When I opened blinds and curtains just after 6.30am I could just make out frost along the top of my fences.

But with longer days it soon warms up. As I biked to work I stopped, turned around and went back to blip this road side clump of plants. They looked magnificent with their frosting now quickly thawing at about 7.40am.

Even while my wee paws were cold, this made me smile and feel glad I bike to work. I noticed later the main leaf is almost heart shaped. Somewhere in there is a life lesson - frosty, thawing, hearts.
