Rock n' Roll Bug

I'm not venturing far from home today since I'm having a low energy day but did run one errand in the neighborhood and saw this wee little beastie on the sidewalk. Having my camera with me I hurried to get a quick shot for an emergency blip before he scurried off. He was, however, quite cooperative and stayed very still while I, apologizing profusely, invaded his personal space with my camera lens.

Quirky, spunky, and colorful little guy - a nice combination. It was only after I got home and downloaded the image to my computer that I realized he appears to have a severely broken left rear leg.

Poor little guy but sometimes, even if you're a bug, you're the bug (Dire Straights here)
