Colour Advice

My mum who used to be a Milliner (no not a winner on the Indian version of "Who Wants to Be Millionaire") but designer and manufacture of hats, that's when young and old ladies alike wore such things all the time even in bed.
Anyway my mum used to have all these sayings regarding colour combinations, such as "red and green should never be seen" and "green and blue devils brew". She had a few more but I have long since forgotten them.
So when I saw these brightly coloured scarlet Acer leaves against the bight green grass my mums red and green colour rules sprung to mind.
But rules are meant to be broken and nature does a jolly fine job of that. If only my mum had made a hat of vivid green grass and bright red Acer leaves I'm sure it would have been a winner especially with the ladies at Ascot.
