Nicky and her Nikon

Germini Gerbera

I only know the name of these lovely flowers because it was printed on the label of the wrapping that they came in - I spotted them in the supermarket and could not resist their beautiful deep fuschia pink colour, so I bought them - very cheap at £3 for a small bunch.

One of those days again today - involving lots of driving around and one of my sons - trying to juggle all their activities can be busy at times.

But tomorrow I am off to London for the day on an 'old meets new' city walking tour - referring to the beautiful architecture of course, and not the people.

Added later : Thanks Kim! A South African friend has just pointed out that these flowers were first identified in South Africa in 1889 and known there as the Barberton Daisy. I should have known that!
