Card night

Tonight em n stu come to visit for a card night.

I have made a cheese board and meat platter to go with our wine selection.

We were supposed to be having one champagne, one white then rose and finish with a red. A sophisticated sampling session as we had enjoyed on holiday.

Hhhhmmmm

It turned into one champagne, 4 white, 1 rose and one red and copious amounts of water drunk by em who I actually thought was going to projectile over the table.

The evening was nearly a non starter as we had lit the fire for the first time this season and the smoke it churned out was immense and set the carbon monoxide alarm off. The boys and I spent an hour on the patio letting the air inside clear. We now have a smoke mark on the wall around the clock ooops.

I think I will sleep well tonight.
