Blackberries
Today I have a lovely hour long gossip on the phone with mom. I'm still in bed at 10 am which can only mean its going to be a bad fibro day.
The boys and I get ready for our walk to market. They are getting quite good at walking alongside my granny trolley.
There are some lovely fluffy swans on the river today. As usual I buy more than I expected to at the butchers and market. We bump into linky from the stables who makes a big fuss of the boys.
My trolley feels very heavy my arms arent coping well today and my legs like their walking through mud.
Can't be bothered with breakfast today so a quick slice of cheese and my miracle beetroot juice.
The weather is so gorgeous today it would be criminal to waste it so I spend an hour or two cutting down the ornamental thistles around the Christmas tree. It's such a shame monkey n pongo have to be tied up whilst I do this. I wish they could run free it really does spoil everything.
Liz calls out to me at 3 from the gate to see if its safe to get to her car across the garden or were the dogs running free.. I said how ridiculous of course it is apart from my boys being daft as brushes they are actually tied up.
She then proceeds to chat to me for 40 minutes about friends with nightmare dogs mainly ones who didn't have children and used their dogs as substitute babies - is that a veiled dig I wonder - I inform her a dog is a dog and anyone who treats them otherwise is a prat. She swiftly asks to be shown around the garden as she is amazed by it. She wouldn't dream of talking to me normally in case captain cock and fatty arbuckle saw her but as her bosses are out she takes advantage and chats merrily away crouching down to have pats n cuddles with the boys who are happily chewing twigs they have robbed from my cutting bags. Which just infuriates me that she will happily chat away as they are not in and my gorgeous boys are tied up. How sad that someone who came to our wedding who was our financial adviser for many years and we thought we knew would turn out to be so spineless. It's a bit of a one sided conversation really as I have no time for such people. She is not who I thought she was so goodbye.
Talking of pricks - we have many bramble bushes suddenly appeared. They are a real pest to weed out. Only one branch gets a reprieve though as she is bearing babies. Not enough for a pie but a very beautiful autumn sight so she can stay. I seem to spend most of my pruning time rescuing snails and lady birds from my rubbish bag and moving horrible yak looking spiders which I couldn't dream of killing onto long broom handles and moving them to other suitable home areas of the garden so I can get in and carry on pruning. Our nice neighbours on the other side must think I'm quite made walking round the garden with a big wooden pole squealing like a girl.
I just about have time to run into town after gardening to buy doodle a birthday pressie. I hope she loves her rabbit hat.
I have to admit to having a huge power nap after my shower before dinner today. I hate fibro days but I hope I have worked through this one.
