Conforming

Today we were talking about confirming. Tonight I went for a swim. There was a swimming class lane, a medium and a slow lane. The rest of the pool can only be described as a place for people to fart around. The fast and medium lane had 5 people each. There were about 10 people attempting to swim in the farting around area but the 5 people farting around somewhat limited the swimming. I joined the 5 people medium lane as 1 person was leaving and spent the next 15 lengths cursing no limits on admittance to the pool. The swimming class finished. There was a free lane. No one was taking it. I was 3 lengths in before it struck me that I had confirmed to the very thing I was complaining about in the first place. Sack standard conformity I thought and ducked into the empty lane. Suddenly I had my own lane. No one joined me. I think at this point they probably thought it was my own private lane as the rest of the pool was packed. Feeling pretty pleased with myself I left the pool and saw there's also a sauna at the back. When in the sauna I realised you need to pay extra to be in there. Standard conformity I thought... Actually I was probably breaking the rules.
