Angle shades moth (Phlogophora meticulosa)

I found this little fellow on the back door this morning. The penalty for this ... was to be my blip for the day.

It was quite snoozy and didn't really want to do anything, so I had lots of time to set up tripod and macro lens. Still feeling my way around with this setup, so the result of over 50 shots, was a collection of about 10 reasonable ones. This shot pleased me the most although it doesn't show the lovely patterning on the wings making it look very much like a scrupled autumn leaf.
