Last Gasp of a Summer Cliche?

Every day through what we have had to call summer I've driven past this field on my way to/from work. Each time I've thought I should stop and take a shot of the Poppies in the Wheat field..... but then again I thought it's such a photographic cliche that I wouldn't bother.

Well today I actually stopped to take a look only to find that the Poppies that are left are somewhat faded and sorry looking. That will teach me to put off photo opportunities! And of course when I did stop I only had the iPhone camera with me (mental note to self, keep a 'proper' camera in the car!).
