Home sweet home..

What a day.

Collected the keys to my new flat, and was greeted by the realisation that the place had not been cleaned, nor the bathroom or broken window fixed. Dropped in to the estate agent - landlord forgot about it.

Can't move my stuff in till the carpets have been cleaned so not a lot we can do today. Mum is coming over with her big car and the old TV - never mind! Not happy.

As you can see from the picture, the inventory check pointed out what a bad state this place is in - the windows are, erm, vintage, to put it politely. The lack of an extractor fan or window in the bathroom has resulted in some lovely blackened grouting/woodwork, a warped door that will not close, and a musty aroma. Well, you get what you pay for, eh?!

Must not get stressed out. Must not get stressed out....
