When you're a stranger
I was given one of the black and white disposable cameras for the 'when you're a stranger' blip project. It seemed like a great idea until I headed out to take my shot. The thought of asking a stranger if I could take their photo scared me. I took this photo of the canal in Edinburgh as I was walking around trying to pluck up courage. I was on the point of chickening out when I spotted a girl on her bike studying a map. She had a lovely orange helmet on (yes I knew the photo would be black and white) and looked friendly, so I approached her. Anais was happy to have her picture taken and told me that she was cycling around looking at bridges. I would have liked to have found out more, but I was just so relieved to have got my shot (which I suspect isn't very good), I just about ran away.
