"Fishers of Men."

Part of a chasuble made for the local priest. Made entirely of silk, it was embroidered by a group of Muslim women in a Bangladeshi village.

Scenes depict stories from the Bible, but interpreted in a Muslim fashion.

This section shows a fisherman, a familiar Christian image.But the lady who did this delicate stitching thought a fishing rod was boring, so she gave him a kite instead!
