kokeshi

while biking home, i saw a few of my students hovering around the curb. when they saw me, they said Hi and Look, it's a kokeshi!

they said it's creepy, and i asked them why. i'm not sure if they understood or if i didn't understand, but i still don't know why.

is having a kokeshi doll chilling out on the sidewalk ominous? わからない. i don't know.
