Monday: Pike Place

We have had a full day, doing touristy things!  We started our day down at Pike Place Market - a wonderful mix of delicacies and activities.   The fishmongers, in particular, are known for their liveliness and a whole workplace philosophy, based on having fun at work, has developed around it.

From Pike Place we went down to Pioneer Square, which included the underground tour, a tour of original Seattle as it used to be (it used to be much lower than it currently is and many of the old passages etc can still be seen underground).

We spent the evening in the Elysian Brewery, not far from where we are staying, followed by dinner in a genuine 24 hour diner!  This is all way too exciting!

One thing that has really struck us while we have been away is how easy it is to get into conversations with people.  I don't think a single day has gone by where we haven't spent the majority of the evening in conversation with someone!
