Overhead

It was an early departure from t' office for me today and off to a clinic in York. My third visit to the place in ten days, but that's okay. I have a lot of time for the city by the Ouse. I had an appointment to discuss some surgery done on my leg years ago. Sadly it was a waste of my time. The consultant, who wore a blue cravat and looked a bit like Antony Worrall Thompson, was pricklier than a hedgehog and apparently had no interest in anything I had to say. Every other question seemed to be interpreted as some kind of attack on his authority....at one point he even used the phrase "I've been doing this for 13 years you know!"
Consultants, eh? Delusions of deity the lot of them :-(
