St Serf's

St Serf's Church, somewhere near Forteviot, off the A9. I was at a meeting in Dundee today, and on the drive home I decided to take a detour off the A9 to see what St Serf's was. It has it's own Heritage brown sign on the A9 and I have always wondered what is it. I hoped it could give me todays Blip. This part of the building was built in approximately 1200AD. It is claimed that St Serf's mother was ingen rig Cruithnech, daughter of the King of The Picts. Was it worth my 4 mile round trip detour? Not really if I'm honest!!
