Bangour Village Hospital
This is an old derelict asylum. The area is absolutely huge and it was no fun to visit.
It was really eerie and there was a feeling of everything that must have gone on it in the past. You certainly felt that if you entered here you probably would never have left. What was particularly creepy was the normality they tried to create - a shop, railway station, bus routes and even a very large parish church.
I can't help thinking that the poor folk that would have been taken here in the early 1900s would have had perfectly curable illnesses.
I won't be back!
Here's some more photos.
NOTE: Apologies for choosing such a horrible photo to blip from the visit. But it summed the place up for me.
