A Domestic Day
After the giddy social whirl of the last ten days it was refreshing to have a quiet domestic date even although the blip has to be pretty mundane. The local supermarket was the extent of my gallivanting today and even that was for only a few items.
Did spend a good bit of time ironing which I find therapeutic if combined with a radio programme. Today it was a Lord Peter Wimsey on Radio 4 Extra- chastening to think many of the actors are now no
longer with us.
Am now well into a book on the 1745 by a military historian called Christopher Duffy whose work I have not read before.
