The Norns VERDANDI

The Norns were Viking Goddesses who controlled all life, including those of other Viking Gods. They were three sisters and between them held the thread of everyone's life. This thread was woven by them through the lives of others but the fabric they produced had no shape or pattern so they were continually weaving and unpicking.

This is Verdandi the first sister. She is very tall and beautiful and of the three is the most friendly to mortals. She is the Goddess of the present and represents all the human traits of ambition, desire and jealousy etc..
I was early for Art today so I knew these ladies were at the back of Strathpeffer Pump Room and I went up to get a photo. Watch this space as if I am early again I might remember to get the other two.
