I stopped off at Elterwater Common this morning to take some photos of the bracken, now in autumn colours. Approaching the car park after my wander I switched the camera on quickly when this truck started edging slowly around the corner and over the bridge.

I'm amazed at the skill of these drivers. This one was bringing slate down from the quarry but all sorts of other things are transported along our narrow twisting roads on massive vehicles.
