This is the oldest thing I know!

Once upon a time, it served as a means of climbing into a horse drawn carriage.

In my day, it served as a climbing up and jumping off apparatus, as it does for my kids (and countless others) today!

In fact, I took this after Dylan had done just that, on our way to school this morning!

Funny how so much changes so quickly, yet some things stay the same for generations!
