taking time to remember

October 6 was my grandfather's birthday - he would have been 96 today. As the oldest of his grandchildren I am fortunate to have inherited this Atmos clock, which he received from his employer in 1971. As a child, I was mesmerized by the perpetual motion of the balance wheel, which oscillates back & forth continuously. Now as the clock sits on my mantle I still look at this turning wheel and it reminds me of my grandfather. Happy birthday Pépère, you are missed!
