THIS FUNGUS? STUMPED.

Whilst walking along a street in Epping, we spotted this spectacular fungus growing on a rotting tree stump. I've tried to identify it from internet images, but the nearest match is Chicken Fungus - but that seems to be an American variety.
So unlikely to have made it to the sidewalks of ..Essex.

Any botanists amongst you, may be able to help.
