Cycling bliss(ish)

We convinced Tess and even Gemma to cycle along the Tarka Trail to Fremington with us today.
It was blooming lovely and really warm.

What with taking photos and stopping to straighten Tess's cycle helmet and both girls complaining about bugs on them (18 year old being just as bad - if not worse - than the 8 year old) it took us over an hour to get there and over an hour to get back. So, because of cycling for a total of about 3+ hours, I assumed we'd cycled about 20 miles, but it turns it was only 13 and a half miles. The café at Fremington was really busy so our lunch stop was pretty lengthy, but they had books and games on the shelves so we played cards while we were waiting.
On the cycle home there was a bit of whinging about sore bums and aching legs but it was mostly pretty good. Tess has to work so much harder and faster than any of us with her littler wheels so she did really well. When we got home I thought she would collapse but she did some more skipping.
I can't wait to go again and cycle a bit further next time.

What else...?
Who cares! It was sunny and we went cycling! That's enough
