Vestige

"The essence of who we are as individuals in relation to others and our environment, forms a strong aspect of my artistic practice. In Vestige I wanted to explore this relationship further by creating a group, a community within the protective elements of the woods, reflecting the past inhabitants of the space." Rob Mulholland - artist.

We went for a walk today at David Marshall Lodge today. We were very lucky as we managed to walk for nearly 2 hours with no rain. We walked the Highland Boundary Fault circuit, with a detour to the top of Lime Craig (well worth it, a steep climb but not too far off the main track, views would be great on a clear day), we did get some views but this environmental sculpture is worth a blip. I love this environmental installation by Rob Mulholland, they seem to blend with the landscape and have an almost ethereal quality. He also has an installation in Alloa town centre as part of the Imagine Alloa project,it's a similar concept but in my opinion doesn't work as well in an urban environment.

Home for a big family Sunday roast. The raspberry sorbet and coulis were a great success!
