Malevolant Beasts

Went for a walk up Norman's Law today with the dogs in the driving rain.

As we were walking through a field we noticed them huddled together and chewing the cud - as we walked towards them a few turned to look at us, we decided now would be a good time to put the dogs on thier leads.

A few yards later and we noticed all they were now looking and beginning to manouvre into a closely knit formation blocking our path. Strange i thought so we tried to walk around them, only for them to side step and once again block our path. This side stepping continued for a few more attempts at passing until one of them (clearly the ringleader) started to approach us giving us a look and not a friendly one - the others followed.

At this point we made for the nearest cover - a big gorse bush - and there we stood for a good 15mins in the pouring rain.

Not wanting to follow us in they gave up after that. - The one on the left was the 'orrible ring leader.
