Pony Trekking...

Last year Ellie was too young to go on the ponies so we promised her that this year that she'd do this with Alfie and she had been telling everyone in the week before we went away that she was going to be going 'horse riding'.

So we got up to the stables and I sort of expected her to get cold feet and say she didn't want to go on them but she was complete opposite. She was desperate to get measured for her hat and when we got told the ponies name she insisted on finding the paddock that he was in so she could see him.

Alfie was the total opposite, didn't want to go and do anything but think the fact that Ellie was looking forward to it so much finally rubbed onto him and he got his hat etc.

It wasn't the most exciting or longest trek (for me) and we had to walk with them but they both thoroughly enjoyed it and Ellie didn't want to get off her pony at the end, in fact she was in flood of tears as he was lead back to the field. I've promised her more pony/horse rides once we get home but not sure if this was the wisest as can see this turning into an expensive hobby!

This is the picture before our trek of Ellie on her pony, nibbles. In the background is Alfie and his pony Red.
