Sheep dogs welcome in the Bar

The newly revived Shepherd and Dog pub in nearby Langham (now renamed to The Shepherd) was our chosen venue for a family 66th birthday lunch. The revamp has really paid off and Richard and Esther have done a great job with it, as can be seen by the stark comparison with the website of the previous owner. The pub has gone from dated and tired, to modern and bright. The food was good. The service less so, although the staff were a bit inexperienced and it was busy. Would we go again? Yes we would. We'd be looking forward to the specials being on next time, cancelled for the day due to a 36 head 50th wedding anniversary party.
