Robot Wars

Remember Robot Wars on TV? Well it's not on any more but they have a live show and Cal bought us VIP tickets for the event today. It was great! Lots of noise and flames and sparks and action.

No action shots because the arena is surrounded by heavy duty perspex to protect the crowd. It was necessary today when one of the robots weighing 100 kg (slightly over 15 stone) was thrown out of the arena at pace. The tickets included a backstage visit at the end of the show and also an opportunity to enter the arena which is where I took this shot. This is "Major Damage", one of the house robots.
