Zen-like Sunday...

A very relaxing Sunday indeed - including a long overdue first visit to Lauriston Castle and its Japanese Friendship Garden.

If I'm honest, it looked a wee bit neglected - don't get me wrong, it was lovely, but I doubt it would pass muster in Kyoto, with unkempt gravel and weeds poking through!

Loved the views from the grounds though, and the fabulously majestic trees. A great autumn spot - and I can imagine it will be pretty gorgeous in snow too, so must keep it on the list for a return visit.
