Sun bathing...
in October!
Neither Steve nor I have ever been to the Broads, so today we took advantage of the glorious sunshine and headed east, round the coast, to Horsey. We had no idea we'd be met with about 50 seals basking on the shoreline. What a beautiful sight. Then we walked back to the Nelson for lunch before heading home to get stuck into gardening, hoovering... painting!
ps: Just to reassure concerned blippers, this photo was taken from quite a distance. Although I was surprised that we were able to get as close as we did. Having now googled, I've read that the Friends of Horsey Seals try to discourage visitors from getting too close during the winter months as it leads to abandonment of pups. We will keep a respectful distance in future.
