"each continent and island"

Last day of our holiday.... :(

Dad and I try to cycle along the main bay in Jersey from St.Helier to St.Aubin every time we are here and although it's been 4 years since we were both last on a bicycle, we took to the saddle once again today!

There were rather strong winds blowing around and we ended up cycling into the wind - I have a new found respect for professional cyclists! I was pooped by the time we'd finished - absolutely knackered!! But it was still great fun!

We then went back to St.Brelade's Bay which is where this photo was taken for the last of the sunshine. This is one of, if not our favourite view on the island!

But all good things must come to an end so back to the hotel to pack, quick dinner and then a dash across town to listen to the Band of the Island of Jersey perform in Howard Davis Park. Dad is a big fan of brass music so I think this was a perfect ending to his holiday, especially when at the end of their marching demo they played the tune 'The Day thou Gavest Lord is ended' - which I know is a personal favourite of his! :) A fitting end to a lovely family holiday!
