A New Day

Bath Time

Not the best of pictures, but it was through glass and they were always moving! Who said there was a shortage of sparrows? We've got dozens in the garden, living in the hedges and taking turns at the bath. We've seen little of anything else recently, as they seem to have taken over the feeders etc.

The Head Gardener picked several kilos of James Grieve eating apples from our little tree, but they don't keep well, so it's always a problem trying to give them away! The Bramleys keep much better, but we didn't have quite as many this year as last. It's all or nothing in our mini orchard:-)

Off out now to visit friends for a meal and a showing of the holiday photos (they did ask!), so hope to catch up with you tomorrow.
