Shenzhen: Walk by the Lake

On request of the inlaws we went on an adventure to Xi Li Lake, the reservoir at the northern edge of Shenzhen city.

A most weird place! A derelict resort with fishing 'shacks' around part of the 'lake', other resort houses now covered with vegetation and decorated pathways crumbling away. There was a flash (read: still operating and cared for) conference centre and fenced off enormous villas but otherwise a ghost of a resort. New construction was booming nearby so I can only guess something will happen with this spot.
