Lily

I normally try not to post straightforward portraits from weddings, but this one jumped out at me as I downloaded my cards today, and if I had to sift through a couple of thousand photos to find another one I liked then it might be weeks before I blipped!

Two and a half years ago I shot my first ever wedding (and blipped it here). The bride and groom were Lily's parents, and she was the total star of the day. I could tell then that she was an incredibly bright and self-assured little girl, and when I met her again yesterday (at her mum's sister's wedding) I was very pleased to see that she's lost none of her spark! I'm sure she can be a handful, but I hope nobody ever dulls that confidence. I have a feeling she'll make some waves when she grows up :)
