Autumn Grasses
A proper autumnal sort of a day. Flat calm, a bit damp and very mild. Spent the afternoon in the garden, tidying up all the plants that have gone over and dead-heading those that look as if they might have the makings of another flower or so still in them. Also planted up a big tub of tulips for the spring.
Super with friends, to which Ollie was invited too, so before we went he and I had a leisurely late afternoon walk to de-bounce him a bit! There is a lot of pampas grass growing around here; it's very hardy and wind and salt spray resistant. At this time of year the heads are quite often covered in little sparrows too, feeding off the seeds, hanging on as they sway around in the breeze.
