Beautiful Poppies.

This is a close-up of the poppies that grow alongside the Taylor River, Blenheim. Lizimagic goes walking there almost every day, and has blipped these flowers too. I saw a couple of flowers that were almost white, and another 3 that were a beautiful cream, but the wind kept blowing them around.
We had gone out to town to play in the golf tournament for the Andy Ritchie Scholarship Fund run by the Marine Farming Association of New Zealand. Andy was a marine biologist who died a few years ago, and a fund was set up in his name. They run this every second year, and we have been several times.
Unfortunately, I opted out of playing at the last minute as I was feeling really crap. I'm in the process of sorting out my blood pressure. Not nice!! But I did stop at the Taylor River to get my blip, before going back to the motel for a sleep.
