Fall foliage...rain saturated!

It rained today. The skies opened and dropped buckets of water. After the rain and after my photoshop class, we took Gulliver for a walk in Brecksville Reservation. Fall colors have crept into the scene in the past week, making the palette much more colorful than it was a week or two ago. Wet or not, it was beautiful walking in the woods.

Driving out of the park, we came to an entrance to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, gated and locked with a ranger stationed at the entrance. Evidence of the government shutdown. One of the men in my Elements class was not there today. The reason being that since last week's class he left for a trip out west to visit the National Parks, i.e. Yellowstone, Yosemite, Canyonlands. I don't know exactly which ones he planned to visit, but they are all locked down tight, just like the one we saw today. It's a crying shame in my opinion. Leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
