Met a friend today who lost his wife and had to retire early to care for his three children one of whom is handicapped....severely..... It put some manners on me I can tell you... his constant good humour in the face of adversity humbles me.... I spent the day thinking of him and his wife who worked for me for many years from the age of sixteen....not the better for it.... I am so lucky in my life while so many struggle around me.... I drove to the place of my childhood to look into my past and into my soul..... I am lucky in so many ways in my life.... Meet so many good people... and hope to meet more....just saying
