life without a sink

I know it is a minor inconvenience in the scale of things - kitchen sink blocked for 2 days - 3 litres of drain unblocker and 1 kg soda crystals and a litre of vinegar - nothing - except noxious fumes -an hour with the plunger -and suddenly woosh - but imagine if you have no sink, no clean running water, no shelter - puts things into perspective!
