Ballet first thing this morning for A. I guess after her joining in so well for the second half of last week I expected big things. She basically ignored the tap section yet again and did a little bit of ballet. It's so frustrating; I know she enjoys it and she will get lots from it in the future. I also know that if she joins in, she will feel better. How to get that across to get I have no idea! I think her taking a while to be settled back at nursery is affecting this too, she spends the first part of the week not looking forward to nursery - but enjoys it - then the next two days feeling uneasy about ballet then back to nursery again on the Monday. I remember the feeling well. But I think it's important for her to do these things. So we shall persevere! After ballet we decided to go to pizza express for lunch. Isaac had a nap in the car and seemed delighted to wake up somewhere new and exciting where they had paper hats* He had his own pizza because I knew if I just gave him a bit of mine he would chuck it on the floor and I'd end up loosing half my pizza. He probably only ate a tiny slice of the child's one in total but it was the experience of it all. And he had a great time. Finishing off his dinner with milk....although the excitement of pizza express had him revealing me to the whole restaurant more than I'd have liked! Amelie ate everything beautifully, she did really well. I know that places like pizza express are maybe not the best restaurants around but they are so quick with service - great for children's short attention span. I feel I can take my children anywhere and they will mostly behave but I don't think it's fair for them to spend hours eating lunch in a posh place with no paper hats or crayons! Amelie has watched strictly tonight before bed....she lived it but I'm sure her tiredness will have me regretting it in the morning when she is inevitably up at 6am. *he loves a hat!
