Autumnal Buds

I like the fact that there are still roses budding in October and I particularly like both the colour and the scent of this rose. The colour brings a warmth against the autumn brown and the scent is one of the strongest rose scents in my garden.

Sun has shone most of the day but there has been no heat in it and the grass, which I was hoping to cut today has never dried off enough so maybe tomorrow.Time soon to start cutting everything back and preparing the garden for the onset of the frost and winter. I am sure Jack is not that far away.
