ah, memories of aileen... our school choir mistress always asked that whenever she was faced with a mic - thankfully not often.

en route home i passed by the parliament and spotted the first minister, alex salmond, (that's him on the left, for those who are in england/elsewhere/have been asleep on mars for a while) doing one of what i suspect was a string of tv interviews, presumably discussing - as there was no other story today - the latest to do with the release of the lockerbie bomber and the aftermath (see here and here for more if you need it).

mostly i thought it was interesting to see the process from behind, if you like - very different to the view you'd get on the telly!
